Why we ask for your birth data

Think of your natal chart as a snapshot of the sky at the exact moment you were born. Where the planets were positioned, what signs they were in, how they related to each other — all of that creates a unique energetic fingerprint that belongs only to you.
It isn't fortune telling. It's a map of your natural tendencies, your emotional wiring, the areas of life where you're naturally gifted and the areas where old patterns tend to form.
Understanding your chart allows the recording to speak to your specific energetic makeup — not just the pattern on the surface but the deeper terrain underneath it.
Why date of birth
Determines the position of the sun and planets on the day you were born — the foundation of your natal chart.
Why time of birth
The rising sign — your chart's most personal point — changes every two hours. An inaccurate birth time produces an inaccurate chart and will affect the precision of your recording. Please check your birth certificate before completing the intake. If your time is genuinely unknown, indicate this when submitting and Stephanie will discuss options with you before creating your recording.
Why place of birth
The houses — the twelve areas of life your chart speaks to — are calculated using your geographic location at birth. City and country is all that's needed.

Gene Keys —
where your gifts and your shadows live
Gene Keys is a system developed by Richard Rudd that maps 64 specific frequencies encoded in human DNA — each one expressing as a shadow, a gift, or a siddhi depending on how consciously it's being lived.
Think of it this way. The shadow is the pattern that shows up when the frequency is unconscious — the fear, the contraction, the loop you keep finding yourself in. The gift is what becomes available when that same energy is met with awareness. The siddhi is the highest expression — the thing that's possible when the pattern is fully transformed.
Your Gene Keys profile shows exactly which shadows are most active for you — and more importantly, what gifts are waiting on the other side of them. That information makes the recording genuinely precise in a way that no questionnaire alone could achieve.
